Galerie Met is pleased to collaborate with Art On Space and InterCulture to present the group exhibition "Between Trace and Signal" at Art On Space in Foshan, China, from January 11 to February 28. The exhibition explores dialogues between material and information, craftsmanship and technology, taking Jacques Derrida’s concept of the “trace” as its conceptual framework. The trace is neither fully present nor entirely absent; meaning is continually deferred through processes of translation. The works of the seven participating artists — Friedrich Andreoni, Chen Chuanduan, Tingwei Li, @annalucia, Norman Maýn, @ivonatau, Yiy Zhang — examine how meaning is generated through historical translation, the encoding of memory, and the suspension of form.
