YOU Hyeonkyeong (b. 1985, South Korean) is a painter currently based in Berlin. She received her MFA in 2011 at the Seoul National University Graduate School for Painting and her BFA in Painting at Seoul National University. YOU’s work has been shown internationally with solo exhibitions at Iseurrat, Seoul, Korea; Parkseobo Foundation, Seoul, Korea; Asia Now, Paris, France; Spacemom Museum of Art, Cheongjoo, Korea; Doosan gallery, New York, USA; OCI Museum of Art, Seoul, Korea; SeMA Seoul Museum of Art, Insa Art Center, Seoul, Korea et al. YOU has received awards for her work as the 8th Chongkundang Yesuljisang and the Ha dong chul Scholarship, and is included in notable collections as of MMCA Government Art Bank, Korea, the Seoul National University Museum of Art, Korea and the OCI Museum of Art, Korea.
Linhan Yu is an artist and curator, and a member of the artist duo grapebattleships. Born in Beijing in 1990, he currently lives in Berlin and Beijing. He graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts and obtained a master’s degree from the University of the Arts Bremen in Germany. His solo exhibitions have been held at venues including the Hive Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing, Nadan Berlin, Supermarkt Gallery in Tokyo, Künstlerhaus Sootbörn, and Migrant Bird Space in Berlin. His works have been featured in numerous international group exhibitions and have received multiple awards, including the Wallart Award from Today Art Museum and the GOPEA Award from the GOPEA Foundation. He has also participated in a residency at Bella Martha Kunsthaus and received the “Young Art Power Award” from China Art Power 100. Additionally, he has been nominated for several art prizes, including the Ottersberg Art Prize, Werner Kühl Art Prize, Bremen Art Prize, Karin Hollweg Prize, and Lüneburg Prize.
