2. Enhancing Discoverability and Engagement
For OGs and newcomers alike, discovering relevant content and communities remains a challenge. The decentralized nature of Farcaster means there is no algorithmic feed like those found on centralized platforms.
Proposed solutions:
Personalized Feeds and Recommendations: Implementing user-configurable ranking mechanisms (such as Most Engaged, Trending, or Following) can improve discoverability without compromising decentralization in the Farcaster protocol itself.
Hashtag and Channel Discovery Improvements: Enabling auto-suggestions for channels and hashtags would allow users to find relevant discussions quickly.
Content Curation via Community Moderation: Implementing reputation-based content curation, where community-vetted moderators can highlight valuable content, can improve content quality.
