Rumors of recent Solana (SOL) network outages have sparked price declines, with SOL dropping 50% from its all-time high by early 2025. Despite this, recovery prospects hinge on repair progress and trading volume. Solana’s team has acted swiftly in past outages, like the February 2024 fix within five hours, showing resilience. Current efforts to address congestion, such as the anticipated Firedancer upgrade in 2025, aim to boost transaction capacity to 10,000 per second, potentially restoring confidence. Trading volume, however, remains a concern—down from peaks like $8.57 billion in January 2025 to $4.03 billion by March—indicating waning speculative interest. If repairs succeed and volume rebounds, SOL could rally, possibly nearing $200 by mid-2025, per some forecasts. Yet, persistent outages or market bearishness may delay this bounce.
