Do you mean buying rETH vs running your own Rocket Pool Node? Or what do you mean by similar to Rocket Pool?

Less direct yield but less work & risk. Although there are incentives for rETH holders which actually make rETH more profitable right now.

rETH purchasers are providing protocol ETH to the node operators. They simply earn staking income averaged across the whole Rocket Pool network.

It’s a two side system:

Node operators run the validator nodes, they don’t have rETH. They simply earn the traditional staking rewards and other mechanisms ($RPL inflation and commission on protocol ETH)
