Has Farcaster removed suspected bot followers or something recently?

Don't really care much about follower count but couldn't help but notice mine's gone down like 3K in the past month or two 

My casts might be mid but idk about that mid lol

Makes sense, not concerned about vanity metrics and have no interest in bot follows just noticed it for the first time and was confused! Appreciate the response

oooh k that makes sense, checked Dune and saw some dashboards showing 13.5K and was like wtf lol

Yes, you still have those followers but the Warpcast client will not show them anymore. Some of us saw a reduction as high as 10k followers. My count dropped by 2K fwiw

no they are that mid

(there was a big drop off like 2-3 weeks ago and it still fluctuates by a lil bit every few days too as bots are pruned)

That's actually a good question. I don't think I've really seen any news around bots. Let me know if you do find any other sources
