I agree about the spam but have found myself on there more and more and on farcaster less and less. I want to be on here more but the content isn't as great. The two buckets of content I find on x in higher quantity are 

- design inspo from product designers I like and follow
- genuinely good general tech commentary that isn't just crypto focused or mild takes (mild take being something like "wow openAI did this can you believe it?!")

What works for me is adding a bunch of people to a list and only reading the list view rather than the "main" tab which is often full of garbage from the algo
