successful social apps already know how to make money, and they absolutely print. Many are already sharing with creators, but the fact nobody wants to acknowledge is that 99% of long tail content on social networks really isn't worth anything. So it feels like the platforms are stiffing you when you "post a banger" but unless you are able to repeatedly go viral, it's not going to work out.

People make entire careers out of youtube. It's possible for social networks to share the wealth. The hard pill to swallow is that most people contributes to social networks are worthless

Coining won't magically flip the script here

this pretty much summarizes my thoughts on “coining”.  I want this to work but I get stuck at how this creates long-term value. The hard problem is figuring out how to make a social app make money, then share that cash with creators
