the best airdrops have always been the ones that were the actual token generation event itself - this is also at no cost to the team, since the tokens have no value, since they are not created yet, and instead the value is determined by market forces; remember all of defi summer we were given "valueless governance tokens"

perhaps a bigger issue than airdrop exclusion is that teams are taking seed money from VCs who get token warrants/SAFTs or are dropping an already existing token for a product that doesn't exist yet
