i think i am super exposed to cantonese/hakka cuisine, hailing from malaysia. i like jing cuisine (having spent a few months there once), and while there i came to enjoy chuanr, which is Xinjiang cuisine (and their other stuff too)

when i had it, it's pretty good, but very fast became boring, taste was monotone throughout the meal

ya the main selling point is that it's halal, tbh the ones i've had here are really weak in terms of complexity compared to other chinese cuisines, even when compared to fujian, that's known to be light in seasoning

my first trip to guangzhou, i was wondering why the food was so bland :P i think they might win re: light seasoning (the cuisine that is cantonese in .my is heavily influenced from HK, not base guangzhou from what i gather)
