widely acknowledged brand is Zojirushi, just get the simplest model if you're in the market for it, however, personally, i don't use anything non-stick, my rice cooker's bowl is stainless steel

Exactly, so so much, the combinations are practically limitless, i like to put raw garlic mid process so it's not too soft, my go-to is leftover sauce, soup, gravy, whatever that's saucy and soupy, so so good, my favorite rice is to put basmati rice
