It’s a never ending stream of critiques on Nouns and what they shouldn’t do and the “mistakes” but seems no one has any ideas of what they should do. Do any of the big voting blocks have a vision for what they should do?

Our biggest meme and our biggest problem is that the larger voting blocks are led by people who have never led successful projects, demonstrated authentic leadership, raised capital, or managed money. Just endless feedback with no credibility or experience behind it. Why I like break-even: Unlike most of the loudest voices, they’ve actually built in the real world and understand how money management and long-term upkeep work, outside of a Discord server.

But like what is the vision for the DAO itself? Like I love what you’re doing and see Nouns Cares as a great way to leverage the meme and community but that’s downstream of the thousands of artists we’ve impacted and good works we’ve funded. Maybe it’s time the DAO stops funding that stuff and anything for that matter but then what? What is the long term vision?

The cares vision for what the DAO could be is all in here – https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EY6IRPnPreeo_4gAyZARxJu7G8nFSaWu/view We know nouns can become the service layer that helps brands, creators, and communities come onchain. We handhold partners through onchain, public goods, open-source tools, and guided onboarding with real concierge-style support. Drew, Wally, Rocky, Michelin, all launching programs with the DAO despite the mental and emotional abuse 😀 prove there’s still belief in what this can be + every person, brand, and company has a public goods layer, and nouns can be the layer to unlock it. It’s tough to talk long-term vision when structure and support are dismissed as “too corporate” (always by people who’ve never built anything) – But nouns needs capable teams behind the wheel. The endless "trying" and treasury spend needs to shift toward partnerships, IRL programs, education, and scalable services that drive culture, onchain value, and long-term sustainability.

I dig this vision of Nouns as a service layer that helps brands come on-chain. It’s one of the most trusted names in crypto, imo. By onboarding major brands, we’re not just bringing them in—we’re also tapping into their communities and expanding our reach as a brand.
