The high altitude gives the wine notes of ripe fruit. In the nose it is very concentrated and deep and has hints of berries, star anise and leather. In the mouth it is reminiscent of cinchona bark and convinces with its body. A tannin with development potential as well as a marked fullness and a persistent finish. The Pinot Noir vines of the “Pònkler” were planted in Guyot in 2007 and are located at an altitude of 750 meters and it is a single vineyard. The selection of French clones, which have proven to be particularly suitable for the high hills, the high density of vines and the low yield guarantee excellent grape quality. The soil is mainly composed of eroded porphyry. The vineyard is exposed to the south and southwest

Château Margaux has existed since at least the 12th century, but it was in the second half of the 16th century that it became known for its wine production thanks to Pierre de Lestonnac who, after purchasing the estate, decided to implement the cultivation of vines. Montiano is one of the winery's flagship labels, born from Riccardo Cotarella's passion for Bordeaux varieties and in particular for Merlot. In the Montefiascone area, the vine has found soils of ancient volcanic origin rich in skeleton and beautiful exposures at about 300 meters above sea level, which allow the creation of wines of great elegance. The vinification is in the most classic Bordeaux style, with fermentation and maceration on the skins for a dozen days and a maturation period of 12 months in new French oak barriques from Allier and Tronçais. It is a complex and refined wine, with a dark red color and aromas of cherry, black cherry and blackberry, soft hints of vanilla, currant jam and nuances of sweet spices.
