Iran Israel war is the result of the international rules based order designed by the US to wage wars against the rest of the world but primarily the Middle East. Iran is not Iraq and Iran is not the Iran of early 2000s. It has indeed developed a dangerous arsenal of missiles which can end Israel in weeks. The only way Israel survives this is if Tel Aviv decides to use the Samson option - illegal nuclear weapons, and or the US intervenes on its behalf. Forget closing the Strait of Hormuz, Tehran can paralyse the oil market for years if under existential threat it decides to target Saudi oil fields. The IRGC can also decide to target the UAE to spread maximum terror across the Gulf Arab states who are aligned with the US / Israel. Iran is surrounded by mountains and a ground invasion is out of the question. At this point in time the Iranians don’t feel existentially threatened but if they do, hell will break loose. Question you all should be asking, why did Israel provoke Iran unnecessarily when the nuclear talk were progressing? And then connect the dots with the WMD lies of the Iraq war.

Do you really think there’s no credible evidence that Iran was close to breakthrough? There’s documented evidence of Iran stockpiling more and more uranium enriched to 60% and beyond following the collapse of the JCPOA. You don’t need uranium enriched to anywhere near those levels for civilian reactor fuel.

The only reason I can see here is Israel’s deep-rooted obsession with fueling conflict in the Middle East. Since 1995, Netanyahu has repeatedly claimed that Iran is just weeks away from acquiring a nuclear weapon — dozens of times, with no proof. In any case, if any other country gets involved in this war, it could very well trigger the beginning of World War III. Russia and China will certainly not allow the world’s most strategic region — and its vital oil lifeline — to fall under full U.S. control. The fire that Israel has ignited will consume Tel Aviv and Jerusalem in a storm of Iranian missiles. The world has now seen that the Iron Dome was more of a bluff than a shield. The skies over Tel Aviv trembled under 12 waves of missile strikes. Israel has started a war that may very well be the unfinished chapter of Hitler’s legacy.

The simple answer is because they can. They know the current U.S administration is heavily influenced by evangelical thinking and persuasion. Mike Huckabee's recent Tucker Carlson interview is a good example how ideology is the driving force behind policy at the moment, not facts. So you have the worlds biggest super power, who has the biggest veto in the U.N giving carte blanche support. Effectively, they can, and are doing whatever they feel like, and whatever destruction they cause along the way they see as justified collateral damage.

FUD. not the same as Iraq. no self respecting analysis will say Iran isn't building a nuclear weapon add overt hostilities (like 911 type terrorist funding) and it's hard not to give Israel a free pass
