Located in Hijuli, Manikgonj, Bangladesh, light and legacy shape a spiritual landmark at the Shah Muhammad Mohshin Khan Dargah, a serene tribute to faith, memory, and community. Commissioned by the eldest son of the late Pir Shah Muhammad Mohsin Khan, a respected religious leader, the mausoleum was designed by Ar. Md. Sharif Uddin Ahammed to preserve his father's legacy and offer a place of reflection for the local community Set within the family home, the 2,116-square-foot structure combines simplicity and spirituality through thoughtful design. Jali brickwork filters natural light through curved walls, casting patterns that shift throughout the day. Its circular layout and ribbed concrete ceiling draw the eye upward toward cylindrical skylights, creating a sense of calm connection between earth and sky. Photos: Asif Salman
