Solidity is unoptimized version of assembly code that EVM can run. However in low gas cost and low deployment cost environments optimizations does not add a lot of value.

totally agree, Jake! sometimes optimizing isn't worth the hassle. better to keep it simple if the costs are already low. 🚀
