i re-evaluate what i'm doing every god damn day
which is why i'm re-thinking what2do while at $15mn fdv, $200k in txns, 2.5mn txn's, a great deal of mindshare on x/farcaster & decent partnerships.
i could be blindsided with the traction & say 'oh wow mini apps will change the world every1 should just make mini apps because we worked so far'
but, instead, i believe the feedback loop i've built with reality is healthy, which helps me course correct and think rationally better than my younger self.
i'm not being bold. i'm being rational & pragmatic about the landscape & potential of making a 10mn user product.
ok if you don't get it. you can confidently build a derivative of polymarket because prediction markets work. that's a $10bn (if not more) revenue market yearly.
so that allows u to take a bet with fairly decent odds of being a $10mn rev product.
if fc has capped DAU's, why is it unfair to think grand? while young, i'm ok folding my hands in hope open social takes off. but if i'm 35 and waiting to get lucky because of a canonical event that puts open social on the map, then that's lack of agency.
wealth is made on some amount of luck, and canonical events are necessary, but hope isn't a great strategy. 2 replies
