I just got into MTG this summer with my son and I'm really enjoying it!

Any tips for noobs @floppyabe.eth ? I'm trying to get my son comfortable enough to go to a Friday night magic in the next couple months and I'm trying to get a decent deck together in mtga

Print out some proxy cards for "kitchen-table" practice games! Magic can be an incredibly expensive habit, so print out some "staple" cards to find the play style that suits you before you start dumping money into boxes/singles.

Arena can also get expensive, but grinding in draft events is a great way to learn the meta.

Same for FNM at game stores - start with drafts. Limited is fun, teaches you to how to build decks, and it levels the playing field between new and experienced players.
