1>What is drosera? 

Drosera is an automation protocol that simplifies the process of creating monitoring systems for decentralized applications.  It introduces a mechanism called "Traps", which are smart contracts that remain off-chain until activated, preserving the confidentiality of security strategies until needed.

Drosera is a security system for decentralized finance (DeFi) applications that automatically detects and prevents hacks or exploits before they can cause financial damage.

3>But wait, how does Drosera do this? How is it possible?

Drosera uses two main components to keep De-Fi applications safe;
- Traps 
- Operators

Traps are smart contracts that define the conditions for detecting security issues and triggering on-chain responses, more like a smoke detector. They detect when there are unusual activities in De-Fi applications and triggerrs a response to fix it automatically

operators are guardians(individuals) who use special softwares to watch the blockchain and execute traps, they choose which traps they want to support and monitor and execute the protective response when a trap detects a threat

Finally,
This is neccessary to keep web3 applications safer by;
- Providing 24/7 automated protection 
- Responding to threats instantly even faster than humans 
- Creating a simple framework that any De-Fi project can implement

2>Why the name Drosera?

Drosera is named after a carnivorous plant (you might know this as sundews), that catch insects with sticky traps. You should already know the mechanism behind this haha, drosera traps malicious activities before they can cause harm. 

Personally, the person who came up with the name deserves an award
