Last month in Italy, I was traveling from the Amalfi Coast to Salerno by bus in the evening.

At one of the stops, a man without a ticket tried to board. He offered to pay double - even triple - the fare in cash, but the driver firmly refused. He said the bus only accepts passengers with valid tickets. The man forcefully boarded and left the money in front of the driver, but the driver raised his voice and insisted he wouldn't move until he got off.

Eventually, the man gave up and left.
It wasn’t even the last bus - there were two more after this one.

What really stuck with me was how calmly and firmly the driver stood his ground. No shortcuts, no bribes - just doing the right thing.

Felt good to witness that kind of integrity.
