Today I'm writing with a kind of personal request.. After I heard that the CEO of Spotify invested in an AI company that enhances military weapons I didn't really know what to do with that at first. Spotify was THE platform for me that created revenue from my music and with this also for Spotify itself. So, what to do with the information that the CEO of this platform is investing in war basically? I took the time to think about it but my gut told me from the first second that it doesn't feel right. Neither I nor my music shall help raising money for this. So, I decided to move away from Spotify - I cancelled my subscription, deleted the app from everywhere, and moved over to TIDAL. Which, btw, pays more to artists than Spotify - bummer that this platform isn't more popular yet. More ⬇️

And today, today I asked my distributor to remove all my music from Spotify. This will take one week max, and after that I'll also delete my profile from there. This wasn't an easy step for me as artist as this really is the only platform where people actually listened to my music. But on the other hand it was an easy step for me as artist and human as I just can't help funding this CEO's doings with being on that platform. This is not who I want to be. Anyway.. what I'd like to ask you is to follow me on Tidal if you're one of my listeners.
