Watching an old doc about a Pride parade in Chicago in 1976 and this image pops up. This guy was clearly at the parade, celebrating with everyone else. He's also got the pink triangle on his belt loop. What is this? Extreme irony? I have to admit I'm totally confused. https://mediaburn.org/video/gay-for-a-day/

It's a great little film, all verité POV stuff. The film is a celebration, it has the energy of the parade. Good little mid-day palate cleanser film. Meaningless takeaway: gay dudes in the 70s loved a stripy sock.
