The US and Mexico are close to a deal  
to scrap Trump’s 50% steel tariffs for limited imports.  
Talks, led by US Commerce Secretary Raimondo,  
exclude Trump.  
Under the terms, US buyers can import Mexican steel duty-free  
if shipments stay below a set cap based on past trade.  
The new limit is higher than a 2019 agreement  
from Trump’s first term.
