The most revealing part of today is Musk essentially admitting that buying Twitter wasnāt about making it a better and more open social network, but rather about entrenching the status quo and amplifying an authoritarian, right-wing agenda. Today opens another opportunity for Farcaster to differentiate from X and Musk. Will probably not happen.

Differentiation doesnāt matter if thereās no market for it. No one still active on X cares enough to leave the network effect. If you care and you donāt like crypto, youāre on Bluesky. If you care and you like crypto, youāre here.

Fair enough. Just to understand , what is the reasoning to put these values aside and boost other key differentiators like āearn on Farcasterā or āmake money on Farcasterā that are not at the core values of the protocol itself? Is your hypothesis that thereās a larger market for that? Is a new market or are you trying to capture it from somewhere else?

Consumers use things that solve problems for them. Those values only solve a problem for a very small % of people. That's saturated already between Mastodon, BlueSky, Nostr and Farcaster. Most people only use apps to be entertained or make money (either directly or indirectly through work).
