BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF, IBIT, hit $70B in assets in just 341 days. Fastest ever, beating GLD's record by 5x (took 1691 days). GLD is the top gold ETF, launched in 2004 with $100B assets. IBIT launched Jan 2024, now holds 2.8% of Bitcoin supply. BlackRock manages clients' Bitcoin but doesn't own it.
