We’ve shipped the first three roc.camera devices from /faust
and more start going out today 🪨 🎉
Back in Oct 2024 we set a north star: build a camera that captures verifiably real moments for humans in the age of AI
And so here is our raw v1: 80% now, working on the last 20% -- excited to start testing that hypoth

Updates on Roc Camera:
- Domestic orders shipping starting in May is our current estimate (may still slip)
- Software work has been focused on bug fixes in video streaming (a lot of gstreamer / WebRTC / RTSP / H.264 codec fixes we’ve been slogging through)
- Also want to make sure it’s GPU hardware accelerated

@DrJimFan Great to have this confirmation. It’s wild how CGI and AI videos are so convincing they make us doubt real ones.
For important events, maybe we need video notary services with an authorized person present to see the event and then certify the official video posted online.

The ondevice zk module from @faust expanded to all devices on @weatherxm (cc @vrypan.eth ) to generate proof of untampered data including calibration, streamed to Blocksense network (zk oracle built by @zahary.eth ) and fed to products like Skysight (built by Matthew Scutter) is a match made in heaven 🤯

To be clear I have zero knowledge of how either project works (🤣) so I don’t know what the two stories here are or if there are even two distinct stories vs subplots.
But jeez the worldcoin Orb has terrible branding and design. The thing may be zk-ified and be made by a “tools for humanity” gang, but it *looks* like
