Counterpoint: Apple should not, under any circumstance, make their own model. Just license (and run) one of the others - OpanAI, Gemini, Claude, one of the AWS ones... Pay $$$, get weights. And 6 weeks after release, switch to the new one which is better than the one you picked before. And repeat every 6 weeks.
