What is the most stark disconnect from a past opinion and the current view?

Willingness of devs and users to compose tokens together directly onchain (stuff like burn to mint and token gating enshrined into contracts), and also my belief that frontends would become more multi/protocol or data intensive (they have become more isolated and simplified instead).

I feel like the first point revolves around the lack of penetration from onchain games to wider audiences as these are ecosystems for widespread token experimentation as u noted. The second I also suspect continues to develop with wallets owning more of the user experience but I continue to be proven wrong
