my opinion on sustainable, programmatic tipping is that eventually we'll see all USDC tippers fade away

we're rn at 40% usdc, 60% everything else wrt to volumes

altruism is good. but not sustainable, it won't meet pmf over the long, long run

you'll eventually see usdc tippers churn (i say this while we have 94% d30 retention) 

and people who create / associate / belong to token communities will have the highest incentive to keep tipping and reaching new wallets / users

usdc won't stay, forcing a token to be tipped won't win either 

what wins is when you give a user freedom to tip whatever they believe in

@noiceapp needs to adapt the $degen tipping mechanics, but instead of tipping with comments, you top with likes

tip 100 $degen but with a like

tipping allowance is burned if not used, tipping comes out of projects pocket (token allocation), not users' pockets

i agree an allocation system will help to sustain the model bc people tipping from the bottom of their heart will eventually fade out.
do you think this allowance should be limited to the in-app token or any token foundation should be able to offer some allocation and users can opt in?

Wouldn't be a bad thing to push $degen cause I'm far as I'm concerned, you and your crew are second in line after degen.

there is a case to be made for house money being tipped 

but doing this for 100s of projects with unique criteria is sth that would require time 

(we were at crossroads figuring if it should be house money tipping vs a new variation of micropayments and we went for the latter)
