Why are we investing in video?

I've been spending a lot of time recently talking to users. Our goal is to figure out how we can get people to invite their friends to Farcaster. If we can solve this, Farcaster will grow.

When asking why people aren't inviting their friends to Farcaster, the overwhelming reason is they spend most of their time on TikTok / Instagram / YouTube (no X / Twitter).

So, video.

Farcaster needs to feel familiar before it feels new. If video is the reason people don’t bring friends in, then video is what's required.
