being in love and in a relationship sounds nice in theory, but i honestly don’t have the time. plus, the dating pool is a cesspit and most people aren’t faithful. oh and our idea of romance is flawed asf.

If you had the time, you may find someone faithful that cares about you. Until then, you likely attract what you put out

honestly, i don’t put out much. don’t go on dates, don’t show myself to people no more. been burned multiple times in the past, don’t want a repeat of it. all about guarding my heart and peace of mind.

That’s a totally reasonable choice if that’s where you’re at, but it won’t lead to a meaningful relationship, even if you did randomly come across someone special. I hope you’ll be ready when you’re ready :)

My short take is that people who want to get married, get married. My longer take is:

Many of my single friends (mostly the women) have a hard time differentiating between filtering criteria and selection criteria. It's important to SELECT for values / goals / competency, etc.
