US Treasury's Bessent says Trump will decide whether to extend trade talks past July 9 deadline. "We’ll follow the president’s lead," he told CNBC, adding EU talks are ongoing this weekend. No deal with Japan yet, possibly due to their domestic politics complicating things. For Vietnam, a deal is "agreed in principle"— the 20% tariff won’t stack on existing 10%.
