For developers: Farcaster collectibles

1. Onchain stuff is on Base

2. Bids are USDC

3. To start, you need to use the Farcaster app + wallet to bid. And FID is required to bid.

4. Auction logic is offchain so we can iterate faster.

5. When auction ends, settlement of bids in onchain. Collectible gets created on onchain.

6. NFT is a single collection.

7. We're thinking about 1) NFT metadata 2) public APIs for auctions 3) other developer legos.

8. If collectibles is "working" (subjective, will take some time to figure this out), will figure out how to make more "protocolized" and easy for other clients that would want to add. Eventually, auction logic could also be onchain (after we're confident in the right configuration).

will we be able to see a list of our casts that have been collected and by who? might end up rewarding early collectors if simple, from photography angle thinkin about how it could be cool to pair the NFT itself with the cast NFT - as in i mint the photo itself as a 1/1, then send it to whoever wins the cast auction

Interesting. I’ve been thinking that Collectibles might serve as a kind of “advertisement” for the one of one sovereign contract NFT.
