i went to coachella in 2012, 18 months after instagram launched i had the best time, barely took any pics, no influencers in sight, far fewer people (80k daily vs 125k daily now) and saw swedish house mafia play one of their last shows before they'd announce their breakup 3 months later quite satisfied i have not gone since, this weekend will remain in my memory as one of my favourite, most freeing times before social media really became a thing - i was about to graduate high school, i was away from my parents for an entire weekend, and had just been accepted to my top choice university 5000km away from home. the world was so open and promising at that time :)
