🌈 Friendly reminder that it takes less than a minute to switch from MetaMask to Rainbow and get the best onchain experience (and earn some Points, too). 👇 Here's how: https://rainbow.me/support/app/how-to-switch-from-metamask

Does this mean that I can both use metamask from the browser using the metamask extension and metamask from the phone using the rainbow app into which I imported the recovery phrase? Without conflict?

exactly — but you can even forget about MetaMask and use both our web extension and app!

Are there zero differences in terms of security and operability between a wallet created from scratch through rainbow and an imported one? Thanks for the previous answer, got tempted.

Hi! there is zero difference in security when using the accounts within Rainbow. We do recommend creating a new account in Rainbow to ensure that you have a 100% totally secure secret phrase! We can't guarantee the security of any other wallet. MM has been an industry leader in that field too! Hardware wallets are also a great option! Then you can keep the secret in a colder/offline device, these are the best for larger sums of money! Rainbow mobile supports Ledgers with bluetooth! We always advise caution when transferring secrets between apps. Avoid putting them in online clipboards/or other services that may store or recall the data. typing them in by hand in a dark room with a white noise machine may be the most secure method!!! But there are always levels to security when you are keeping your funds safe with self custody!!! The bigger impact we see, more than scams, and hacks -- is backups!!! Make a good written backup, in a safe/secure spot, so you can always restore your accounts!
