The last 24 hours were hell for me. I’m someone who mentally gives up on life every time I fall sick. I just accept that maybe this is the end—every single time 😭. It’s a habit I picked up after surviving a terrible accident where I literally found myself under a truck. This time, I’d been sick for weeks but kept it private. I refused meds or hospital visits because I believe so strongly in the Lord’s healing hands. My healing didn’t come, so I finally gave in and went to the hospital. Turns out my typhoid was extremely bad. At some point, I had given up. I’m a semi-weak child, and I forget that a lot. With my eyes shut, I genuinely thought: Am I blind now? Will I ever see again? I’m a four-eyed girl who hates wearing her glasses, so of course, I blamed myself 😭.

I gave my sister my passwords and seed phrase (as usual). I kept thinking, I won’t see my mom’s face again? My dad? My siblings? My friends? I won’t see when I make it to top 30 on fc ke? I was scared, but all I could do was recite my Shahada and hum “Favor, He surrounds me like a shield.”- I am that dramatic 😔 @ririii and I always have Monday calls we do especially when she’s on her way to work , and thankfully, she called right on time and spoke with my mom. To add to the madness, my dad was also rushed to the hospital at the same time and got admitted—twinies 😭 (reminds me of when I had chickenpox and only my dad caught it 😂). The hardest part wasn’t even the injections, it was lying down too long, unable to move. I love my bed, but not like that. I couldn’t even hold my phone, and if you know me, you know my phone is my best friend 😭.

Anyway, this is me saying thank you. Thank you for your prayers, your messages. I’m feeling better now, still recovering slowly. Typhoid is not a joke. If you’re feeling sick, even if it’s just a headache, please get it checked. And wear your glasses 😭❤️
