🚨 Items & Quests Update 🚨 What’s a hero without their weapon of choice? It’s time to gear up and get slaying. All players can now claim their starter weapons, then head to the quest page to pickup some extra gear. Claiming your first item is now a requirement to play the game. Running low on HP? Why not chat to the Alchemist and try to win yourself some Potions of Healing. Or perhaps checkout what trinkets you can claim for slaying your onchain foes. This is just the first part of the new RPG system I’ve been working on. Over the next few weeks you’ll see it evolve into some fun new mechanics and rewards for helping slay enemies: new items, quests, crafting, upgrades, and many more cool things that will be revealed soon. ⚔️ Items ⚔️ Farverse Items are ERC1155 NFTs on Base. There will be many ways to acquire new items, including free claims, purchasing from the store, completing quests, and defeating enemies. There are a few retroactive items that will be released soon for those who helped slay some of the previous enemies. Items can be used to boost your stats, increase your slaying power, and how long you last in battle. Some items will be purely collectible/cosmetic. Claiming your first starter weapon (your choice of Sword, Bow, or Staff) is now a requirement to enter the game, and there are a few other freebies on the quests page to get you started. Crafting and upgrade systems are in development but still a little while away

🛡️ Equipment 🛡️ You can now boost your stats by equipping items to your equipment slots Weapons: Try out your starter weapon Armor: Grab a starter piece for free from The Blacksmith Trinkets: Claim trinkets by helping defeat enemies Companion: Select your favourite FarPet to take into battle. You will also see a stats summary here that you can click on for a more detailed breakdown. Note that the level system has been tweaked slightly. Your XP hasn’t changed, but the way levels are calculated has.

🎯 Quests & Claims 🎯 The first iteration of the quests and claims system is live. Some of the enemies you have been fighting have dropped some cool items that you can unlock by chatting to NPCs and starting/completing their quests. It’s still very early days for this system, so expect it to grow in the coming weeks. To get started, head to the “Quests” page and chat to The Alchemist

❤️ Health System ❤️ The health system has been overhauled. You know have a base HP based on your current player level. Starting at 10HP, you gain 1 HP every level, plus bonuses for your equipped items like armor and trinkets. You can now “Heal” using items too. Health potions are the most beneficial, but eating some food can also help to heal you. You can also heal past your base health. These hearts are indicated in yellow 💛 and will last until you use them on attacks (they don’t reset during the usual healing period) Health will still reset twice per day, at 7am and 7pm UTC
