Daily Royal Self Portrait #1

The Daily Royal Self Portrait series was started on Rodeo as a daily journal exploring various expressions of self. Rodeo has announced closure as of 27/01/2026 with no immediate plans for the community to clone it or for another acquisition, so after discussions with community members, Grok market analysis, and my own reasoning, I have decided to continue this series on OBJKT.
At the core of this decision is that when H=N went down, the community immediately mirrored it to keep continuity, proving they value the community and decentralization at its core. I wished for it also to be on it's own contract, not a shared one, since there has been so many issues with shared contracts in general.
I have seen calls from the ETH community for Rodeo from avid users and people who understood its social value, but I have not seen it built or decided yet. While the Tezos community has gone through various iterations for good and bad, at its core continuity has persisted, and Grok projects that continuity will continue with long-term prospects, not as a hype zone for virality, but as a steady, art-centered place for maintaining a sketchbook/journal on blockchain.
This isn't to say I think Ethereum will not persist, in fact I think it will and I still support and champion what is being built there, but the platform landscape there is volatile. I valued Rodeo for the art-centered community it brought together: people who were in various silos and did not find each other before, all open to new technologies without demonizing crypto or AI, in fact celebrating it, which is how the early Tezos community was and still is in many facets even if some treat it differently.
I considered putting this on networked (dot) art, which has early H=N vibes and is fully onchain with Ethereum, but I'm already doing a semi-daily series there exploring fully onchain art (because fees on Ethereum have dropped significantly thank you blobs and minting fully onchain art has become affordable), so I feel doing a daily series here on Tezos/OBJKT is a nice complement to my daily art practice.
Thank you to everyone who supports my art no matter the chain or platform dramas. Each time you collect art, you ensure the continuity of me even being able to make art, and being loyal to artists first over a platform seems to be a rare trait in today's market.
