I only play video games in Q1 as an addiction management strategy 

I played a shitload of Hades over the past few months and I think it’s the best press-the-buttons-really-fast game I’ve ever played

bought it forever a go, played for the first time last week. enjoyed it but wasn't sure if i loved it. but the itch to play again has been growing...

How far did you get? I recommend grinding until you can get the Achilles spear and the Chiron bow. At least suspend judgement until you’ve fought hades a few times. 

It got way more fun for me once I’d filled up most of the mirror and unlocked the weapon upgrades. 

It’s really well balanced. There’s enough diversity from building to build to keep it interesting, but it’s a steep learning curve
