Any recommendations for 6 weeks working remote in central or South America? Looking for somewhere with walkable areas - many cafes w/ strong WiFi, delicious food, modern-ish, Pilates reformer studios, matcha lattes. Beach would be nice to have. We’ve done and loved Kuala Lumpur, Bali (Canggu), and Mexico City. In the US, it was easy in LA, NY, and Austin.

From places I've been, I think you'd love Oaxaca. If you end up going, there is a special dinner experience I'll recommend to you. From places I haven't been, if I were in your shoes I'd pick Buenos Aires based on everything I've heard.

Brasil! 🇧🇷 People there really know how to live life. Yeah, it's a big country so some research is in order. While I'm tempted to just suggest Rio, if you think about Northeast Brasil there are some remarkable places.

My friends like coworking in Medellin and Mexico City. It’s got a lot of the amenities for remote working nomad life

I just saw this browsing through /nomads. I lived in Bogotá for 3 months at the end of 2023 and one of my favorite places. I did a lot of neighborhood research and loved the safe walkable areas I stayed in. I think it's one of the most underrated cities because many US people at least think of going to Latam for tropical vacations. Bogotá had some of the best and most diverse food and incredible cafes to spend the day in. They call it "eternal fall" for the 60-75º degree weather which is a great reason to enjoy a good pair of jeans. It can rain a lot in the afternoons and quickly passes. My favorite part was discovering an apartment with coworking and an inviting community built in. I was one of the only non native Spanish speakers and it was so much. There's also a great native crypto community of builders there. I'm happy to share more or make intros if useful.
