The Nouns Arb Game @davidbr and I spent a lot of time discussing it with Nounfolk. We realized the burn won't solve it fast enough and paused to think. This is an attempt to summarize our current grasp of the arb. Hope this is helpful! https://mirror.xyz/verbsteam.eth/W4gaOrp6NC6jopc6vGsGuhz3o4ej0G_0TFhBlcLed94

two paths; erase the treasury or adopt fair exit Even setting threshold to 51% will likely not achieve your goal of 50%+ long term buyers imo

I agree fair exit deserves more airtime. my favorite design is: * fork value capped at noun's auction price * BV-cap diff gets burned to mitigate majority attack incentive however it adds material complexity, so my conviction diminished

the most worrying part is of course unknown unknowns; we should probably hire protocol big brains to help some known stuff: * nouns are way less fungible * do we carry your cap to the fork DAO?

if you do true auction-price based exit, forgoing the issue of what to do about profits for the time being, I don’t see the 51% attack risk..? Why should one’s exitpx who buys @ premium be slashed? Ofc agree it adds complexity but it is also the case that adding a zillion traits to our gov token does so as well.
