Jack and Elon's hands-on approach has made Japan the 2nd largest user base on Twitter globally! However, I believe Farcaster is not doing enough to reach the Japanese market. Most Japanese creators seem to be going unevaluated. 1/

The biggest issue, in my opinion, is that even if Japanese creators are evaluated by their peers, their contributions are not recognized on Farcaster. One reason for this is the lack of established Japanese OG users with Power Badges. 2/

So if the current Power Badge system was dissolved or replaced with something that doesn’t discriminate against non-English would that solve the problem?

The conclusion is yes. Decrease of active users in Japan 1) Decrease in inflow of new users = because there is no benefit for Japanese to even pay a fee as an alternative to X 2) Outflow due to decrease in incentives for those who joined with Degen incentives 3) Outflow due to lack of PBs for Japanese-only use I believe that the elimination of the PB or a change in the system will stop these problems, and some of the leavers will come back, so I think we will see an improvement. However, if you want to attract Japanese users from X, I think you need to take aggressive action by the operator. As a hypothesis, but something close to the truth, first of all, people from different countries can use X in Japanese and English without any stress. Considering that Japan is second only to the U.S. in DAUs on X, if we can create an environment similar to the way Americans use Warpcasts in English, Japanese users should also be able to gain a large number of users in Japanese, at a ratio similar to that of X.
