Lmao maybe. But it was just the name SuperSonics for like two months before going to the name OKC Thunder. 

The city of Seattle still owns the naming and copyrights of all things sonic. So maybe it just took dumping that name 🤣

It's not the name but the location that's cursed. Washington sports teams sometimes make it to playoffs but usually choke in spectacular fashion once they do.
