From what I’ve heard ( though I might be wrong ), Farcaster has recently started promoting more video content
Personally, I still see Farcaster as a text-first platform. When I think of it, my mind goes to thoughtful writing and discussions, visuals come second.
That said, from my experience, text posts paired with visuals tend to perform better. But I don’t necessarily think that’s because the algorithm favors them but rather because of human nature. imo most of us are more likely to pause, feel something, or engage when a post is visually engaging
Still, it depends on the person. I often engage with posts that don’t have visuals, as long as they resonate with me. Others might feel more drawn to content that includes an image or a video
So I don’t think there’s a single answer to why we gravitate toward visual content, but I do think it’s less about the algorithm, and more about how humans naturally respond🌹 0 reply
