On NFTs vs content coins, Gary Vee says: “This is not about buying a photo as an NFT to speculate and flip it. This is tipping culture. This is subconscious human behavior—when you like something, you give.” What do you think about Farcaster collectibles: Are NFTs still a thing or has the meta moved to coins permanently?

imo NFTs are still a thing imo Farcaster collectibles feel more like tipping than collecting an NFT ( psychologically ). This is how imo you are showing appreciation, not speculate because there are no charts, or numbers involved imo with creator coins it’s totally different. Even if the intent is to support the creator, people subconsciously attach more weight to it. It becomes a token with a price, a chart, and expectations. Psychologically it make feel like a gamble. And imo it’s bad for creators as well as there may be a pressure to “deliver”, maintain the mc, to please the holders ( it’s just a burden that they don’t need, that naturally emerges imo ) I am not saying that creator coins are bad as they clearly have value, but I don’t think that NFTs lost this battle with them. With creator coins most may focus more on the token itself rather than the actual act of support, while with NFTs everything feels more natural. Give without overthinking🌹
