This is what I have achieved so far in the cold UK! The bananas are wrapped in situ through the winter, and most of the other plants are protected with mulch if needed. The super tender plants are brought into the polytunnel. This photo was from September 2023. What are you growing?!

Kinda crazy I guess the UK is quite mild despite its reputation.

It is on the milder side on the east coast where we are, we rarely get much below -3c in winter. I wrap the bananas up in situ so they don't rot, but even if they do get zapped by the freeze they will grow again from the roots again! I wrap them to (try) and maintain the height for funzies.
