What will bury altcoins? It used to be that regulation was seen as the purge that would clean up the altcoin market, leaving only the strongest, most fundamental projects. But I think it’s much simpler than that. Plain old competition will do the job—and not competition between crypto projects. Tokenized stocks might be the real altcoin killer. Another nail in the coffin for altcoins is the explosion of futures trading on CEXs- even for the sketchiest tokens. Many retail traders expecting institutional buyers were hit with a hard truth: big money is here to short your bags, not buy them. There aren’t enough Roaring Kittys in the world to save every altcoin. And let’s face it - retail’s barely around anymore. Meanwhile, the funds? They’re just fine.
