haven’t watched the WWDC keynote yet but despite seeing a few cool things here’s my take: OpenAI and others in SV are working on jaw dropping demos & disrupting tools that show you we’re in a golden age of innovation, and Apple’s response is to change the versioning schema for their OS’s and make all their interfaces glass based?!

might sound crazy because I know the launch flopped but during the Vision Pro WWDC keynote two years ago

I literally remember where I was, who I was with, how I felt watching the keynote. it felt like we were seeing 10 years down the road, right in front of our eyes

when was the last time apple blew your mind

I really hope I’m wrong and with tech moving so fast it’s hard to count anyone out rn, but it’s hard to look at Apple’s moves over the past few years and not feel like they’re either behind or have lost some of their sauce

totally, that gives them a huge advantage and I don’t mean to discredit them. I guess my point is more about what companies nowadays do to show how they’re going to be involved in this big moment in tech & what that could look like for Apple

I bet they change it before iOS 69 anyways.

To be fair, Apple’s bet might be Let others do the R&D chaos, we’ll package it safely for the mainstream. But yeah… doesn’t quite inspire awe lately
