Kind of wild to think my first job out of college won't exist by 2030. https://x.com/ManusAI_HQ/status/1928105652444094568

Dude but seriously — consulting firms are in a great position to become leading service provider of “Agent-ify Your Business” Human relationships will still matter here for the sale and delivery. Can partner with AI wrapper companies to execute and accumulate genuine expertise. (I would like this job 100x more than what I actually did a bcg)

Junior consultants will be less necessary. I suspect you'll see more people hired out of MBA programs. Challenge with junior consultants is you have high loss rate relative to post-MBA hires.

What can MBA students do that junior consultants can’t? I think both will be made obsolete. The one benefit McKinsey and co have is their data moat but you will need fewer and fewer people to extract value from this moat.

Partners don't want to do the schlep work. The QA with AI won't be good enough to not have more junior people. Also junior people are where you get the next generation of partners from.

You’ll still have juniors just fewer. They will be the human in the loop but you can drastically cut headcount. Anecdotally, I was just at my undergrad business uni and students are SCARED - there are just not enough jobs for them
