Semi-regular Warpcast annoyances thread If you were BDFOWF, what would you have us work on? BDFOWF = benevolent dictator for one warpcast feature (If you don't have a suggestion, be sure to like a few of the replies you most agree with!)

Level the playing field for new quality members. RN Warpcast heavily favors established large followed accounts with recent priority mode changes likely exacerbating it. Make it easier for new accounts to be found and followed. Figure out how to get their good casts amplified (break through priority mode). Ideas πŸ‘‡

Instead of having everyone follow the same 75 massive accounts, do some randomization based on professed interests or folks they already know. Ideally build a tool to scan their X account! Maybe a version of β€œdo you know?” As for casts breaking through - if a cast gets some likes let it be seen a little bit more.

The accounts in onboarding are based on interest and there is randomness. :)

Maybe it has changed but most of the forced follows for me in Feb had 50k followers or more. Felt very rich get richer.

Clearly folks with massive followings have been active but we need to try to highlight newcomers so that they too can get new followers, recasts and likes. Ideally we can make it a cultural thing but defaults and algos hold a TON of sway. One recent attempt: https://warpcast.com/inceptionally/0x5c264973

with the current trend of favouring the established * ppl, new and smaller account have no incentive and very few opportunities to grow!
